Why choose walsall studio school?

We are pleased to offer our new course in performing arts based around industry training and a magnitude of skills in all areas of performing arts. BTEC is the world’s leading learning company, operating in countries all around the world and the Tech Awards have been designed to grant opportunities for learners to engage in specialist vocational subjects that will prepare learners for progression post-16. Our level 2 performing arts course is structured to equip learners with skills, knowledge and understanding to progress effectively into our level 3 BTEC courses in Studio Sixth Form.

As part of studying performing arts at Studio School you will have access to engage in extra-curricular activities. Each year we strive to create work that we can perform at festivals in the West Midlands. As part of Studio+ we have two scheduled showcases a year that KS4 perform within. In term 1 we have our October Showcase where learners will showcase all the skills and techniques, they have developed in just 6 weeks of studying with us. This is performed in our very own professional auditorium space that holds up to 360 audience members. Then within term 2, we have our KS4 Showcase that is a mixture of solo and group work presented by only our year 10 and year 11 cohorts. As part of Studio+ we also offer one-to-one singing lessons with our external singing teachers to upskill learners in their vocal skills within singing and acting through song.
