T Level Health

WHY CHOOSE WALSALL STUDIO SCHOOL?

In health and social care, we aim to give students the tools, knowledge, practical skills, empathy and to increase confidence in their abilities in order to shape them into well rounded professionals in the world of health.

Health aims to help students develop a sense of industries under the health umbrella, to be able to apply the theory they gained to real life work experience settings and the ability to evaluate the information they have been given. We hope that if this is achieved this will give students the confidence to make good decisions not only in a health and social care setting but in life itself.

What will I learn?

The Health T level curriculum leans towards and is designed to prepare and give real experience to students thus preparing them for working life. This is taught through a core theory component, an occupational specialism project and at least 45 days of work experience in students chosen field. Pathways which can be followed as part of the health T level are as follows:

  • Option A: Supporting the Adult Nursing Team
  • Option B: Supporting the Midwifery Team
  • Option C: Supporting the Mental Health Team
  • Option D: Supporting the Care of Children and Young People
  • Option E: Supporting the Therapy Teams

How will I study?

The T level Health course is a fulltime course that will be taught on site. As part of the T level experience it is mandatory that at least 20% of the course is work place based. This equates to 315 hours over a two year period. The school will assist in finding work placements within the specified specialisms.
